Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 21, 2026
Families of Smithville Road, Inc. (“FOSR,” “we,” “us”) is a Maryland nonprofit organization. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website at familiesofsmithvilleroad.org or our festival site at festival.familiesofsmithvilleroad.org, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us directly when you buy a ticket, contact us, or sign up for updates: your name, email address, mailing address (if provided), and any message you send.
- Payment information is collected and processed by TicketLeap, our ticketing and payment partner. Card details are entered on TicketLeap’s pages and never touch our servers; TicketLeap shares with us only the transaction details we need (ticket type, quantity, purchaser name, and email).
- Basic server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited, timestamp) collected by our hosting provider, Cloudflare Pages, for security and performance.
How we use it
- To process ticket purchases and send order confirmations and receipts.
- To answer your questions or respond to messages you send us.
- To send updates about the festival, our preservation work, or FOSR events — only if you opt in.
- To protect the site from abuse and maintain accurate records for our nonprofit operations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the site and the organization:
- TicketLeap — ticket sales and payment processing.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, DNS, and basic traffic security.
- Google (Gmail) — our contact email is hosted at Gmail, so messages you send to fosr1876@gmail.com are stored in Google’s systems.
- Law enforcement or courts, only if we receive a valid legal request.
Cookies and tracking
Our main site uses no third-party analytics or advertising cookies. When you click “Buy Tickets,” you are taken to TicketLeap, which sets its own cookies necessary to complete a purchase. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy.
Your choices
- You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing fosr1876@gmail.com.
- If you live in California, the EU, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (CCPA, GDPR), those rights apply and we will honor them on request.
- If you opt in to receive updates and later want to stop, reply “unsubscribe” to any email from us or email us directly.
How long we keep it
We keep ticket purchase records for as long as reasonably needed for tax, accounting, and nonprofit reporting — typically seven years. Email messages are kept until we no longer need them to help you. Logs are kept no longer than 30 days.
Children
Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use Cloudflare and TicketLeap — both industry-standard providers — to protect information in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, when appropriate, post a notice on the site.
